1. Student Participation & Commitment
1.1. All students seeking placement support must participate in activities organized by the Training & Placement Department, including but not limited to:
- Placement Training / Preparatory Classes
- Seminars / Workshops / Expert Lectures
- Internships
- Assessment Tests (Online / Offline)
- Placement Drives (On-Campus / Off-Campus / Pool Campus)
- Any other activities arranged by the department
1.2. Students must maintain a minimum of 90% attendance in all placement-related activities. Failure to meet this requirement may result in disqualification from further placement assistance.
2. Placement Process & Policies
2.1. Job Offers & Selection:
- Once a student is selected in a company, they cannot appear for further placement drives unless they obtain prior approval from both the company where they received an offer and the Training & Placement Department.
- A student may be allowed to upgrade their package by a minimum of 25% with prior written consent from both the current employer and the department.
2.2. Job Offers & Bonds:
- Some companies may require students to sign a contract/bond. If a student agrees to this, they must honor the contract as per the employer’s terms.
- Students are solely responsible for reading and understanding the job description, salary details, and bond agreements before accepting any offer.
3. Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Actions
3.1. Transparency & Honesty:
- Students must provide accurate details regarding their eligibility, academic performance, and backlog status.
- External pressure from parents, politicians, or other influential persons to secure placements will not be entertained.
3.2. University Reputation & Professionalism:
- Students must not take any action that could harm the reputation of Guru Nanak University (GNU).
- Any indiscipline, misconduct, or violation of CCPI/Company rules may result in debarment from placement activities, fines, or revocation of existing offers.
3.3. Commitment to Offered Jobs:
- Once a student receives a Letter of Intent (LOI) or Offer Letter, they must adhere to the terms and conditions set by the employer.
- Before resigning from an offered job, the student must inform the institution and obtain approval while adhering to company policies.
4. Placement Data & Updates
- Students must complete the Placement Data Form to receive placement assistance.
- Students must update their records and information regularly to remain eligible for placement support.
5. General Policies
- Students cannot reject job offers based on location, bond requirements, night shifts, or distance from home once they have opted for placement assistance.
- Any violation of these guidelines may lead to strict action, including disqualification from placements, monetary penalties, or disciplinary action.
- The management reserves the right to amend these guidelines as per institutional and industry requirements.
